A Site Safety Officer position is immediately available in South Florida. The individual will be responsible for oversight of a large restoration area in the Belle Glade Florida area. Work=0 Arequirements include oversight of site safety and health, assuring compliance to Army Corps of Engineers (ACE) and OSHA safety requirements for contractor and sub-contractor employees. Conditions include physical work in a hot climate, climbing, proximity to excavation, heavy equipment operations.

 

Candidates should be versed in ACE safety requirements. Completion of the OSHA 30 hour Construction and Safety course as well as concurrent 24 hours of safety and health training are prerequisites. Ideal candidates should possess a Professional Engineer, Certified Safety Engineer or Certified Industrial Hygienist Certification as well.

 

Interviews start immediately. Work starts 9/2009.
